Uso to Makoto:

Tachikata (dancers): Geiko Mamechika and Ichiwaka of Ponto-chō
Jikata (accompanists): Geiko Momizuru, Ichihiro, Mamechiyo, and Kazumi of Ponto-chō

Instead of the second verse of Uso to Makoto, they sing a verse from another Hauta piece called “En kaina”. If you’ve read Liza Dalby’s book, Geisha, you may remember Momizuru and Ichiwaka being mentioned in it.

Lyrics:

Uso to Makoto no Futase-gawa
Damasare nu Ki de Damasare te
Sue wa No to nare Yama to nare
Washi ga Kokoro wa Kimi yue naraba
Mitsumata-gawa no Fune no Uchi
Kokoro no Uchi o On-sasshi

Haru no Yūbe no Tamakura ni
Shippori to Furu Noki no Ame
Nure te hokorobu Yama-zakura
Hana ga Torimotsu En kaina
